Organizing a Thesis

Because I've been doing this for more than ten years, I often provide the preliminary and introductory information for doing independent research. And I will be glad to continue after that as your adviser.

However, you can also choose your adviser based on the area you want to study. For example, Professor Sharon Friedman can advise any environmental or science writing topics. If you’re interested in public relations, you may want Professor Carole Gorney to advise the thesis. Professor Kathy Olson is an expert on legal issues and online journalism. If you're interested in editing and design, Professor Wally Trimble can advise this work. Professor Dina Wills is an expert on communication issues.  You can also find advisers outside of our department.

As the title indicates, you will be doing independent study. Your adviser will guide and advise your work.
