What is evoLUtion?
![]() |
Your first-year experience at Lehigh is named evoLUtion for its definition of a gradual process in which something changes into a different, more complex or better form. The Course Info sheet were included in the welcome kit you received in May.
In order to assist in your transition, we have broken down your evoLUtion into three phases:
- Pre-arrival activities and Orientation
- evoLUtion seminar
- Program and Events
Orientation
This experience aims to help your transition to college life here at Lehigh. This is your chance to meet your new classmates and the student Orientation Leaders, learn about Lehigh’s academic and social expectations and have fun! We encourage you to arrive early on move-in day so you have plenty of time to get settled before your evoLUtion begins at 2:00 pm. The Class of 2017 will arrive for Orientation on Thursday, August 22, 2013.
evoLUtion Seminar
The evoLUtion seminar is designed to help you reconnect with your orientation group and to discuss important issues relevant to your adjustment and success at Lehigh. Your Orientation Leader will provide you with the dates and locations of your evoLUtion seminar. During the seminar you will discuss the LU Reading Selection, so be sure you have completed the book.
The evoLUtion seminar is a required experience. Should you choose not to attend you will be delayed in your spring course registration process.
