My research interests are in the general area of signal processing and communications, with some emphasis on array processing for communications and radar. Much of my research draws heavily on signal detection and estimation techniques. A particular area of interest is distributed signal detection and filtering, where observations at remotely located sensors are compressed or truncated before they are transmitted to a central area for processing. Schemes for fusing information from diverse sources are also of interest. Wireless communications and the signal processing applications of wavelets are additional areas of interest.
I am often looking for bright students interested in working on my projects. To learn more about my research, look at some of my publications or look at abstracts of some conference papers.
