Northern Lehigh Youth Football is located in Slatington, Pennsylvania. We are part of the Northern Lehigh Youth Association. We compete in the Lehigh Valley's Suburban League. The youth program consists of 5 divisions (flags, 80 lbs, 90 lbs, 105 lbs and 130 lbs).

The Flags division is for players who's birthdays fall between 9/1/94 to 8/31/92. This is a non-contact division where the players learn the basics about football (positions, responsibilities and working as a team). All players are required to play at least 1/2 of the regularly scheduled game. This is a noncompetitive division.

The 80 lbs division is for players who's birthdays fall between 9/1/92 to  8/31/90 AND weigh less than 80 lbs. This is the players first experience at contact football. Each player is taught the correct aspects of football as far as contact is concerned. They are taught things like the correct tackling position, blocking position and how to take on a tackler correctly. All players are required in this division to play at least 1/4 of the regularly scheduled game. This is a noncompetitive division.

The 90 lbs division is for players who's birthdays fall between 9/1/90 to 6/1/89 AND weigh less than 90 lbs. This is the first division of competitive football. By competitive football we mean there is a playoff at the end of the season and the teams goal is to make the playoffs. There is no required playing time in this division but it is encouraged that everyone plays in each game and still be competitive.

The 105 lbs division is for players who's birthdays fall between 5/31/89 to 8/31/87 AND weigh less than 105 lbs. This is the next step after the 90 lbs division. Here in this division we start to learn which players really want to play football and give a 110% effort every game. This division is highly competitive.

The 130 lbs division is for players who's birthdays fall between 9/1/87 to 1/30/86 AND weigh less than 130 lbs. This is the last division of Northern Lehigh Youth Football. The players on this team are the ones who want to continue playing football and are fine tuning their skills before the start playing high school football for the freshman team.
