Summer 2002 |
Texts |
Many books are available in the area
of Internet research. Because of the dynamic nature of the field, the
books often are out of date before they are published.
I have found one book, however, that has gathered together some of the classic articles on issues central to Internet research. The book is The Internet: Opposing Viewpoints, edited by Helen Cothran. The book is available in the Lehigh University bookstore. If you are not on campus, you can order the book directly through the publisher: Greenhaven Press, part of the Gale Group. Call 1-800-877-4253. The ISBN number for ordering is: 0-7377-0779-8 The text will be central to our discussions so please purchase it as quickly as possible, preferably before the first day of classes, May 21. Other readings for this course will be taken from or placed on the Web. The readings will be posted the week before each class meeting and should be completed before class. You will find the readings on the weekly Schedule at the class link below. |
