There is an Amtrak (passenger rail) station in downtown Clemson, but most of those who attend the conference will be flying. The nearest airport is Greenville-Spartanburg, South Carolina (GSP), about 50 miles away by road. For getting from the airport to the conference center, the Airport Shuttle runs a van service that is convenient. Phone: 1-800-669-6463; email: Reservations need to be made 24 hours in advance; Visa, Mastercard, and American Express are accepted. Rates are about $40 US each way for those flying in and out of GSP. (If several people from the conference are using the van at the same time, the rates will be reduced.)

Bigger airports are in Charlotte, North Carolina (140 miles from Clemson by road) and Atlanta, Georgia (120 miles). The Airport Shuttle also runs its vans to those airports, but the rates are higher and travel time considerably longer.

Renting a car would be a better option for those who want to drive around the area during the week of the conference.
