Lehigh University is now part of the PACE program, a partnership linking GM, EDS, Sun Microsystems, and UGS industry leaders with a select group of academic institutions throughout the world. For more information about the program, a complete list of PACE partners, contributors, and supporters, as well as the other PACE institutions, see the official PACE site.

February 2005 - We are in the process of acquiring software, hardware, and training through this program, so the items listed on this site will change.

  • We currently have (or are in the process of installing) the following software:
    • UGS - Unigraphics(NX3) - enables modeling and validation of product design, Solid Edge - modeling software, and Teamcenter Engineering - allows collaboration between design and engineering teams.
    • Altair Engineering - Altair Hyperworks - Computer Aided Engineering (CAE) design tools
    • Fluent - Fluent - Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) solution tool
    • LSTC - LS-DYNA - multiphysics simulation
    • MSC Software - MSC.ADAMS - motion simulation tool, MSC. Nastran - Finite Element Analysis (FEA), and MSC.Akusmod - used to predict acoustic responses
    • Alias Software - Maya Unlimited - 3D graphics design technology, Alias AutoStudio - industrial design software used at GM
  • Hardware offers are extended periodically by Sun Microsystems and HP.
  • Training is available for most of the software at reduced or no cost (but does not include cost of travel or accommodations).
  • Competitions, competitive grants, partnership projects are all available through this program. Please see the PACE site for additional details.
