This spring, the Accounting Club hosted its Spring Meet the Firms event in Global Commons in Williams Hall, bringing together students and accounting professionals for a night of networking, conversations, and good food. The event was designed to keep things moving and interactive. Students participated in organized networking rounds, traveling in small groups to each firm's table. This made it easy to meet recruiters, learn what each firm does, and get a feel for different firm cultures without the awkwardness of figuring out where to start.

In addition to the networking rounds, Buckno Lisicky and PKF O'Connor Davies hosted breakout room sessions where students could dive deeper into what it's like to work at their firms. These smaller group settings gave students the chance to ask recruiters questions directly, learn about recruiting timelines, and pick up practical networking tips.
And of course, no Meet the Firms event would be complete without the extras. Students enjoyed firm giveaways and chicken tenders that definitely did not go to waste. Between conversations, swag, and food, the atmosphere felt welcoming and low-pressure, exactly what a networking event should be.
Spring Meet the Firms was a great opportunity for students to make connections, learn more about different accounting paths, and practice networking in a comfortable setting. Thank you to all of the firms for attending and engaging with students, and a special thank you to the Vice President of the Accounting Club, Joseph Regenstreich, for helping organize a successful event.
