W. Beall FowlerW. Beall Fowler is a professor emeritus of physics at Lehigh University. He earned his B.S. in physics from Lehigh in 1959. Fowler is a fellow of the American Physical Society. His research interests include theoretical solid-state physics, the calculations of electronic properties of defects in insulators and semiconductors using molecular orbital theory, and the theory of defects near oxide-semiconductor interfaces. He has co-authored and contributed to over 120 publications. Fowler and his late wife have supported the Lehigh community for many years, providing funding for various projects and initiatives.
