Content: We will cover most of chapters 1-5.
Homework/Quizzes: There will be regular homework assignments. Several problems from each assignment will be selected for you to write up {\em % carefully} and turn in. Quizzes based on the assignments will be given in each class period. {\em Late homeworks will not be accepted.} {\em There will not be make up quizzes.} The lowest three quiz and homework scores will be dropped.
Exams: There will be two exams scheduled at 4 pm on Tuesday February 10 and Wednesday March 25. The final exam will be scheduled by the registrar.
Attendance: By mathematics department policy attendance at all classes is required. Three unexcused absences will result in further action.
Grading: There will be a total of 1000 points. Distributed as follows
