I dont know if I am supposed to send an abstract of the answers I received 
about the homotopy colimits of contractible spaces ? If yes, please, post it: 

Abstract : the homotopy colimit of a diagram of contractible spaces is 

1) contractible in the category of spaces with base points, Corollary 18.8.5 
on page 399 of Hirschorn's book "Model Categories and Their Localizations". 
Due to Farjoun and appeared at least in the LN "Cellular spaces, null spaces 
and homotopy localization" where other things about "closed classes of 
spaces" are presented.

2) homotopy equivalent to the classifying space of the opposite of
the indexing category in the category of unpointed spaces, Proposition 18.1.6 
on page 381 of Hirschorn's book "Model Categories and Their Localizations".
