The position is funded by a Marie Curie Development Host grant, and the fellow will be expected to work on some aspect of homological algebra/group theory relevant to the development of techniques for constructing and studying "small" CW-decompositions of Eilenberg-Mac Lane spaces (or, equivalently, "small" crossed resolutions of groups). Salary: 36744 euro (+ 4800 euro annual travel allowance) Closing date: 31 March 2002, though applications will be considered up to the appointment.
