Hi,
This is probably not the right forum for a question of this type, so please
forgive me in advance.
I am a mathematician-turning-computer scientist who hasn't seen much topology
since back in grad school. Recently space-filling curves came up in an applied
project of ours. Our problem is to fill the surface of a sphere with a simple
closed curve. (More precisely, we want to approximate a sphere with a simple
closed curve of some fixed length in the ``most efficient'' manner possible,
but the meaning of efficiency can vary so general information is needed.)
Does anyone know of any references for this situation?
Thanks,
duane
