Advanced Courses in Topology CATA-07, Second Announcement

 In October 29-31, the Department of Algebra, Geometry and Topology of the
University of Málaga, Spain, is pleased to host the CATA 07 (Advanced
Courses in Topology). 
     We have scheduled two minicourses, "Topology and Robotics" (Michael
Farber, University of Durham) and "Competing Species and Homeomorphisms of
the Disc (Rafael Ortega, Universidad de Granada) whose purpose is to
highlight the new interactions of  topology with areas in which 
topological
methods have been recently and successfully applied. For that reason, and 
as
part of the subjects to be treated may not be very close to what a
topologist is used to, these courses are directed to a broad audience: 
From
the young doctor or graduate student with some knowledge of topology to 
the
well established topologist interested in the application of topological
tools to new and unexpected areas.
