Baker" Research Assistant in Algebra and Geometry Department of Mathematics, University of Glasgow A research assistantship funded by the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council is available from 1st September, 2003 for a duration of 3 years for research in algebra under the supervision of Dr Iain Gordon in the Department of Mathematics. The research topic will be in the representation theory of symplectic reflection algebras and its interactions with algebraic and symplectic geometry. There is already a specified project, but the appointee will have the opportunity to pursue newly arising research directions.
