Facility Layout and Design for Rea.deeming Beauty, Inc.

As Rea.deeming Beauty grows into new facilities, the need for maximum storage and efficient work flow become crucial to the future growth of the company. Rack storage was designed to minimize material handling, maximize on-site inventory, and provide logical manufacturing process layout. This storage system was designed to increase potential storage capacity by 19,000 cubic feet. Raw materials storage was increased to provide a lower cost inventory strategy and finished goods storage was increased to increase production capacity and shipping throughput. Our storage area provides for the purchase of equipment and technology to further improve material movement and final output.
About Elizabeth McGarrigle:
Elizabeth McGarrigle is a senior at Lehigh University, pursuing a B.S. in Industrial and Systems Engineering. Elizabeth has worked with Rea.deeming Beauty since 2016 through the Enterprise Systems Center. With a strong interest in data driven fields, Elizabeth plans to pursue a position in inventory strategy following graduation. Aside from her studies, Elizabeth is the captain of Lehigh’s Women’s Golf Team, and a member of Alpha Pi Mu.
About Gillian McGovern:
Gillian McGovern is a senior at Lehigh University pursuing a B.S. in Industrial and Systems Engineering. Her major interests include information systems and data analysis. Last semester, she worked on her senior project with three other undergraduate students focusing on plant layout designs for a beauty company facility. She also has an interest in the arts, pursuing a Graphic Design minor. Outside of academics, Gillian has been involved with the community service fraternity Alpha Phi Omega, Lehigh University’s Dance Marathon and University Productions.
