FARO Technologies, one of the world's leading sources for 3D measurement, imaging, and realization technology, appointed Lehigh graduate Kathleen J. Hall as its new Chief Operating Officer. During her time at Lehigh, Hall studied industrial and systems engineering, and since her graduation has gained tremendous success as a global businesswoman and leader.
"Kathleen's remarkable track record of success since joining FARO and significant global operational experience will benefit FARO in her new position.” Commented Dr. Simon Raab, the Company's President and CEO.
Technology from FARO permits high-precision 3D measurement, imaging and comparison of parts and complex structures within production and quality assurance processes. The devices are used for inspecting components and assemblies, rapid prototyping, documenting large volume spaces or structures in 3D, surveying and construction, as well as for investigation and reconstruction of accident sites or crime scenes.
Ms. Hall’s primary responsibility will be to lead the company’s global operations teams, initially focusing on executing FARO's renewal initiatives in efforts to drive global harmonization. Focusing on its long-term growth objectives, the company aims to transform its regional operating teams into a centralized, globally operating platform as a way of leveraging operating efficiencies.
“We are undertaking several important initiatives to harmonize our global functions to improve operational efficiency,” she said. “Kathleen's leadership as COO will be instrumental in these efforts."
Hall’s wealth of experience in business management has accumulated throughout her career as an accomplished global business executive. Prior to this position, Hall has served as the Senior Vice President and Managing Director of the FARO Americas region since July 2013. Before Hall came to FARO, she served as Vice President & General Manager at Avery Dennison from November 2008 to October 2012. From 1982 to 2008, Ms. Hall worked for E.I. DuPont De Nemours & Company, holding a variety of positions in operations and sources, as well as sales and marketing.
