Subject: literature question From: Tom Goodwillie Date: Tue, 13 Dec 2005 10:32:28 -0500 Can someone give me a reference for spaces of bounded diffeomorphisms? Over the years I have often mentioned to people that, for example, the space of bounded diffeomorphisms of MxR is a delooping of the space of compactly supported diffeomorphisms of MxR, but I can't remember where I learned it. (M is compact. R is the real line with its usual metric. The map f is "bounded" if the distance from x to f(x), measured in R, has a global upper bound.) Tom Goodwillie
