Stasheff. I suffices to look at Steenrod's papers. Univ. Ferrara, Sez. VII, Sc. Mat., 42 (1996), 57-63. It is short and sweet, and begins with explicit formualae for the Alexander-Whitney operator AW, Eilenberg-MacLane operator EM, and the Shih operator (which is the homotopy from (EM)(AW) to Id from C_*(XxY) to itself). There are a fair number of references to the literature. Admittedly this is not super available, but that is what interlibrary loan is for. (Maybe the author - on this list I think- has it in some other form?) Nick Kuhn
