David Johnson The husband of the presiding bishop elect of the Episcopal Church is the topologist Richard Schori. Schori was a 1960 graduate of Kenyon and he earned his 1964 Ph.D. at Iowa under the direction of Steve Armentrout. His mathematical career was chiefly spent at L.S.U. and Oregon State. One of his major works is the Curtis-Schori-West Theorem which gives the topological equivalence of the hyperspace of a Peano continuum and the Hilbert cube.
