It is with mixed emotions that I share with you the news that after twenty years at Lehigh, Sherri Yerk-Zwickl has announced she will be resigning on July 10, 2017 from her position as Director of Planning and Administration for Library and Technology Services (LTS) to become the inaugural Chief Information Officer (CIO) at Campbell University in Buies Creek, NC. Sherri has been an outstanding colleague, contributing to the success of many projects at Lehigh. We congratulate Sherri on her new appointment but will miss her expertise, leadership, insight, and friendship.

During her time at Lehigh Sherri has worked closely with many colleagues across campus. She has taken the lead role in several key initiatives including the First Year Student Portal, the Graduate Enrollment Management project, the CRM initiative, and the Course Site Moodle implementation. In addition, Sherri has: chaired the Information Systems Steering Committee and collaborated on the development of an information technology solutions acquisition process, been instrumental in leading the Gartner engagement to assess Lehigh’s current capabilities in analytics and our enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, led the development of the LTS succession plan and talent assessment process with HR, and has been a leader in advancing diversity initiatives and staff mentoring within LTS and across the university.
The Office of the Vice Provost for Library and Technology Services is planning an on-campus reception to acknowledge Sherri’s many contributions to Lehigh. Watch for an announcement soon with details. We hope you will be able to join us as we celebrate all of Sherri’s accomplishments and congratulate her on this well deserved leadership appointment at Campbell University.
Sincerely,
Bruce M. Taggart, Ph.D. Vice Provost Library and Technology Services
