Rebecca Traister, noted writer and commentator on women in politics, will speak in Baker Auditorium, Zoellner Arts Center, on Thursday, February 9 at 4pm.
She is the author of "All the Single Ladies: Unmarried Women and the Rise of an Independent Nation." Her book is among the "Best Books of 2016" identified by the Boston Globe and NPR, and included among the Top 100 Books of 2016 selection of the New York Times, described as "a deeply researched and thought-provoking examination of the role of single women throughout history."
Traister is writer at large for New York magazine and a contributing editor at Elle. A National Magazine Award finalist, she has contributed to The New Republic and Salon and has also contributed to The Nation, The New York Observer, The New York Times, The Washington Post, Vogue, Glamour and Marie Claire.
She is also the author of the 2010 award-winning book, "Big Girls Don't Cry: The Election That Changed Everything for American Women."
