Please join the Friends of the Lehigh University Libraries in welcoming Michael F. Suarez, S.J., to campus for a lecture on Wednesday, October 21, 2015, at 4:10 p.m. in the Scheler Humanities Forum, Linderman Library 200.

What the Digital Delivers - And Why the Book Still Matters
In this illustrated lecture, Michael F. Suarez, S.J., Director of Rare Book School and Editor-in-Chief of Oxford Scholarly Editions Online will discuss the information ecosystems of the C21 library.

Suarez is University Professor and Director of Rare Book School at the University of Virginia, where he leads the Mellon Fellowship of Scholars in Critical Bibliography. The holder of research fellowships from The American Council of Learned Societies, NEH, and the Radcliffe Institute for Advanced Study at Harvard, he is also Honorary Curator of the University of Virginia’s special collections and Professor of English. His recent books include The Oxford Companion to the Book, The Book: A Global History, and an edition of The Dublin Notebook of Gerard Manley Hopkins. A Jesuit priest, Suarez is Editor-in-Chief of Oxford Scholarly Editions Online and a Distinguished Presidential Fellow of the Council on Library and Information Resources (CLIR).
