Announcement: Postdoctoral Position, University of Western Ontario

The Mathematics Department of the University of Western Ontario has a
postdoctoral position open for the academic year 1998-99.

The successful candidate will hold a recent PhD degree, and have active
interests in one or more of the major research areas of our department
(eg. homotopy theory, algebraic K-theory, cyclic homology, algebraic
groups, and complex analytic geometry).  The appointment is for one
year, nominally beginning July 1, 1998, with the possibility of
renewal for a second year.

The salary will be $34,000 CDN for the year. The position involves
teaching three half courses in addition to research.
