Yes, unfortunarely, Rene Thom is in very bad health, suffering from
Alzheimer's disease. His leg was amputated several months ago. According to
Paulette Libermann, he is living at home now, but not in a condition to
go out and certainly not in a condition to do scientifc work, probably
not even repond to a query.
The secretaries at IHES might know more.
