is available in the Sonderforschungsbereich "Spektrale Strukturen und
topologische Methoden in der Mathematik" at the 
Universit"at Bielefeld. The position is to be filled as soon as possible.
The appointment will be for an initial period of one year, with the
possibility of extension.

Candidates should have a PhD and be interested in working on a topic
related to the project "Gauge theoretic invariants of 3 and 4-dimensional
manifolds". This requires a good background in one or more
of the following areas:

* differential, algebraic, or symplectic geometry,
* algebraic or geometric topology, stable homotopy theory.
