I'm a Ninth grade student from MMI Preparatory School (Mining and Mechanical
Institute) of Freeland, Pennsylvania.  In Pennsylvania, there is a state
wide compe tition called PJAS (Pennsylvania Junior Academy of Science)  Each
year, students in schools all over Pennsylvania complete Science experiments
in Biology and Chemistry  etc.  Also included in this competition is a Math
category.  This is the category I plan to be presenting a project in.  A
friend suggested that I do a project on Knots.  When I approached my Geometry
teacher, she said that I shoul d look on the internet for information on
topology and Algebraic Knots.  Do any of you have any information that I
could use which is pertinent to what I am doing my project on.  I would
appreciate any and all information that you could provide!!!!!
