a note appeared today in the People's Daily Online from China 
(http://english.peopledaily.com.cn/200606/05/eng20060605_271113.html) 
anouncing the proof by Zhu Xiping and Cao Huaidong of the Poincare 
conjecture.  Apparently the paper has been accepted in the Asian J. Math. 
What do you know about it?
