Course Format

Lectures, discussions, field/lab practices, and presentations of regional or topical synthesis by students.

Evaluation

1. mid-term exam (20%)
2. time series analysis report (20%)
3. project on regional/topical synthesis/review (total 50%)
     - topic, outline & 5-min short talk (10%)
     - abstract (5%) & presentation (15%)
     - final term paper (20%; 10 double-spaced, typed pages)
4. participation in lectures and discussions (10%)
