Day – Earned approximately $240/month while averaging 40 orders. Last order pick up is April 16th. Will repeat next year. No need to order on-line - just complete
order form and send through school to Tina Sauer, pay at pick-up.

School Association Board Positions: Meg
Edwards will be sending a nomination form shortly for the positions of
President, Treasurer and the newly created Public Relations. Kristine Santa
Maria has volunteered to fill Diane Parkansky’s second year as Secretary.

Target Donations: If you have a Target Credit Card
you can help OLPH. “Help us help your
favorite school - Choose
your kids’ elementary school, the neighborhood junior high, or any eligible
K-12 school. We’ll donate 1%* of your REDcard
purchases at Target and Target.com. It’s that simple.” Last month we received a check for over $90.

Arts
Festival, Thursday, May 15. To include: Student art displays, HSA board meeting and
introduction of new HSA board members, One-act and 4th grade plays,
music and a free tuition raffle drawing.
Raffle tickets are $10, one free for each $5000 gift certificate
purchase between January and May 2008.
More information to be distributed.

Thank
you to HSA – HSA met the $85,000 annual commitment to the school. Helps keep tuition low and helps pay for
improvements such as new Science text books for grades 3-6, Scott Foresman series.

Only
39 days of school left – try to keep the children focused on academics.

Tricky
Tray was not only a great financial success, but a great social event.

OLPH
8th graders received Confirmation last week by Bishop Welsh. Congratulations to all.
·
Seder
Meal was as always a nice tradition for the students and staff. Thank you to Mr
Weiner and all parent volunteers.

Thank
you to Kristin Dundon for her work on the One-Act Play. This year is an edited version of Romeo and
Juliet.
·
Upcoming
events: Arts Festival 5/15, Science Fair
4/23, Volunteer Lunch 5/30 (with babysitting by 8th grade), possible
OLPH night at an Iron Pigs game, 2nd Grade 1st Holy
Communion and Agape and Mary Procession.

Security
Meeting this Monday (May 14) will recap our security improvements, events of
2/29, and future improvements (installation of additional locks, door and
pre-school security system)
·
At
Friday, April 18th’s mass 20 children will be inducted into the
League of Angels – congratulations to all.
·
EPS
Foundation – paperwork being distributed today for grades K-7. Use PA tax data, not Federal tax data. This year OLPH has $5900 to distribute in
scholarships. Could have much more – need to improve funds by finding more
businesses to participate.

School will be featured in an upcoming issue of Lehigh Valley Magazine

Congratulations
to Shawn Ianelli – OLPH National Geography Bee winner
– went on the state finals – top 100 in PA (only 3 students from Lehigh
Valley).
