General facts... I was born August 16, 1978
in Staten Island, NY. About a year later, my family moved to the Poconos, where I resided until I graduated from
college and moved to the Lehigh Valley. I currently work for Lehigh University as a Senior Programmer/Analyst in the
Library and Technology Services Department, where I have been since November 2005, after serving 5 years in a similar
capacity for PPL Services Corporation... I reside in Laurys Station, PA with my wonderful husband Pete, daughter Aubrey, and 2 very
spoiled puppies.
Fun facts... Sports and community
service are two of my passions. Ever since I can remember, I have been a huge sports fan, both watching and playing.
My favorite teams are the NY Yankees and the NY Giants. I played softball and field hockey in both high school and college.
Since my playing days are over, I've kept busy coaching and officiating. I coached Varsity softball (3 years) and field hockey (1 year) at Saucon Valley.
I've been officiating high school field hockey for 6 years, and even had the pleasure of officiating the 2005 district finals...
Ever since I was little, my mom instilled in me the value of leadership and helping others. I always want to lend a hand,
whether it be tutoring, Habitat for Humanity, or giving advice. There is nothing better than a smile on someone's face.
So what?... Combining
my technology and mathematic background along with my experiences of coaching and helping others make becoming
a teacher the right profession for me. I can relate to the direction the world is heading and to what the kids
are going through. Kids need to be taught both the tangible and intangible parts of an education. I sincerely hope
to pass along my knowledge and experiences to today's young people, and help them become the best they can be...
And by the way, please call me Trish!
