Using Lehigh's VPN for Mac OS X Users

Briefly, to create a VPN connection to Lehigh, perform this one-time setup procedure:
  1. Open Applications / Internet Connect
  2. From the File menu, select New VPN Connection
  3. From the drop-down sheet select PPTP
  4. Fill in the form: the VPN Server address is vpn.lehigh.edu, and the Account Name and Password are your Lehigh user id and password
  5. Quit Internet Connect, and from the drop-down sheet, name your new connection Lehigh VPN
  6. Open Applications / System Preferences and click on Network, select the newly created VPN connection, usually named VPN(PPTP), and click Configure...
  7. In the DNS Servers table add two entries, one per line: 128.180.2.9 and 128.180.1.3
  8. Click Apply Now and then quit System Preferences
To activate your VPN connection click on the VPN icon in the menu bar and select Connect from the drop-down menu. When you are finished, select Disconnect from the VPN menu. (You may also open Internet Connect and start and stop the VPN connection from there.)

When you make your first VPN connection the KeyChain manager will post the following dialog - select Always Allow:
