Bethlehem is part of the Allentown-Bethlehem-Easton metropolitan area in the Lehigh Valley. It is situated at almost an equal distance from the two big cities of Philadelphia and New York. After a short 1.5-2 hours drive we can be in Manhattan or in downtown Philadelphia with all they can offer. But at the same time, it is possible to purchase a house in Bethlehem for $200,000, which would cost 5 times as much in the north-east of New Jersey. Bethlehem is appreciated because it can offer a quite environment with all amenities and the advantages of a big city without any of the drawbacks. There are even people here who commute every day to Manhattan for work.
