Introduction

This page and associated links provided as a medium for communicating my professional qualification and to display various information closely related to my career goals and objectives. It will continue to be a dynamic Website displaying my technological skills and discuss my technology in teaching and learning philosophy. It also provides a link to my resume and links to graduate works at Seton Hall University(SHU), New Jersey Institute of Technology(NJIT), and Lehigh University (LU).

I enrolled in Master of Science Instructional Technology program at Lehigh University Bethlehem in Fall of 2006. The first three courses have been very engaging and interesting. Since completing my undergraduate degree, my carrer goals have been to consolidate my credentials with something in finance, accounting, and technology. However, there seem to be a missing link for integrating these. I spent the five years prior working at Kent Place School - an independent k-12 all girls school in New Jersey. I worked on various projects and was instrumental to the success of the one-to-one laptop initiative. The program continues to prepare students and develop their 21st Century Skills in a constructivist learning environment.

My career goal is to become a successful professional in my field. Information Technology has evolved over the years and there is a need to keep up with emerging trends. An atmosphere with potentials for growth and opportunities to improve and update my knowledge at every opportunity is highly desired. I believe I have a task to prepare both young and adults to function in a future civilization created by the biggest leap in technology since the Industrial Revolution two centuries ago - (Christopher Dede, 1998).

I am focused on creating a new system, a functional system that would revolutionize teaching and learning practices using technology. According to Machiavelli however, "it must be remembered that there is nothing more difficult to plan, more doubtful of success, nor more dangerous to manage than the creation of a new system. For the initiator has the enmity of all who would profit by the preservation of the old institution and merely lukewarm defenders in those who would gain by the new ones." This makes technology leadership position a risky one. That position is what I sought!

Biographical Information: I have extensive knowledge and background in hardware and software support cross platform (Macintonsh and Windows). My position at Kent Place School afforded me the opportunity to be an initiator, creator and a manager of technology tools. I managed close to 600 computer units on a daily basis. I was responsible for repair, configuration, inventory, distribution and collection of these units. This requires a lot of planning and time management to meet deadlines; it requires attention to details and dedication.
