Welcome to the Lehigh University Women's Center

Message from the Director

Welcome to the 2009-2010 academic year!  We are excited as the campus nears many important milestones for women at Lehigh, as 2011 will mark the 40th Anniversary of women admitted as undergraduates at Lehigh, 40 Years of women singing at Lehigh, and the 10th Anniversary of the Women’s Center, staffed with a full-time Director.  We urge you to be a part of the festivities and planning, so get in touch with us to develop the celebrations!

You can be involved in the Women’s Center in a variety of ways, from long-term to one-time and from dedicated hours to whenever you are available.  Check out our “What You Can Do” page [link] to find out how to become a volunteer, sign up for an internship, apply to be a member of Break the Silence, or join our Book Club.

Several new or restructured initiatives will occur this year, including a Men’s Group, WAVES, the Women’s Recognition Reception, the Women of Color Alliance (WoCA), and a blog, and we want to know what you want to see.  Don’t see something you want?  Drop by or contact us, and we’ll help you develop, organize, and implement your own initiative, allowing you to put into practice knowledge and skills important to any career.  See you soon!
