Expanded Implementation of easyPurchase eProcurement System
In 2011, Purchasing Services launched easyPurchase, Lehigh’s web-based eProcurement system. The system is currently being used by Purchasing, the LabStore and LTS. Purchasing will be expanding the implementation of the system through pilots in departments throughout F&A this fall and will eventually implement the system throughout campus.
Benefits of easyPurchase:
We will be doing a phased roll out to the campus. During the transition period, we will utilize a dual ordering process, with a combination of easyPurchase and the current paper-based requisition process. Once the entire campus is transitioned to the new system, the paper requisition process will no longer be used.
We are confident that this expanded implementation will be very successful. The Purchasing team is committed to supporting ongoing F&A goals and objectives focused on improving our processes through the utilization of technology and best practices, and supporting the campus throughout this transition.
