Coffee, Conversation and Signing at the Bookstore
August 20th from 2-4 pm, the Lehigh University Bookstore will host four local author signings.
Friday August 20th the Lehigh Bookstore will host an event featuring acclaimed local authors. From 2pm-4pm “Coffee, Conversation and Signing” allows attendees to enjoy drink specials at the café, discuss the literature of the featured authors, and have their books signed.
Local authors that will be there for signing are:
Maria Rodale author of the bestselling book “Organic Manifesto,” detailing 21st century farming and the importance of organic produce to both the planet and people.
Troy Hein, author of the Children’s Book “Jay at Play: The Big Hit,” the first in a series of books with lessons for children. The series is also illustrated by Lehigh Valley native, Kathryn Roman.
Kenneth F. Raniere and Karen M. Samuels, writers of “Images of America: South Bethlehem,” about Bethlehem and its rich history, from its people to its buildings.
Susan Berg, author of “Choose on Purpose for Twenty Somethings”, a helpful book for young adults detailing the tools young people need and questions they have as they enter their twenties.
Heather Boyette, the coordinator of the event, hopes the event exposes the Bethlehem community to the Lehigh Bookstore, “We are working towards uniting Lehigh with the surrounding area and highlighting some of the great things the Valley has to offer. To a broader extent, we are hoping that the Bookstore becomes a place that both the local and campus communities can call their own.”
This is the first local author event the Bookstore is hosting this year. There is open admission for anyone in the community, as well as Lehigh faculty, staff, and students. Metered parking is provided in the Campus Square parking garage. As an added incentive, anyone who purchases a book at the event will receive a half priced drink at the Café.
