Abstract

Outdoor localization problems are well solved by GPS. However, for indoor environment, the wireless localization is still a challenging task, because it suffers from multi-path fading and non-LOS (line-of-sight) conditions. In this poster, a new localization algorithm is proposed, which utilizes distributed space-time-codes to combat the multi-path fading. It not only achieves excellent localization accuracy as good as 0.5 meters, but also be simple and inexpensive to deploy.
