Alpha Pi Mu
The honorary Industrial Engineering Society gives recognition to qualified Industrial Engineering students, fosters high professional standards in the field, and assists the industrial engineering department in its preparation of innovations in the field. Membership is open to outstanding juniors and seniors. Meetings are held as needed. Initiation fee is $50.

American Chemical Society
This society encourages student interest in Chemistry and the related sciences. The student affiliates meet from time to time to learn about departmental affairs, course changes, and coming events. The affiliates co-sponsor speakers with the Chemistry Department, run the basic seminar series, and participate in formulating and reviewing the chemistry curriculum. The society also sponsors a holiday season banquet and spring picnic. Membership is open to all students registered in Chemistry, Biochemistry or Chemical Engineering.

American Medical Women's Association
The purpose of the American Medical Women's Association is to expose female pre-medical students to the role of women in healthcare professions through shadowing, community service, assemblies, and speakers. Although this organization is geared toward women, any individual of any gender has the right to join and learn with us.

American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE)
This student branch of the national society encourages the development of a professional consciousness and affords an opportunity for Civil Engineering students to become acquainted. Membership is open to any student enrolled in Civil Engineering. Meetings are held monthly along with regular social functions. Guest speakers include practicing Civil Engineers.

Association of Computing Machinery (ACM)
The ACM is a group of people interested in sharing knowledge while exploring and learning about computers. The group explores all areas of computers from the simplest hardware to the most complicated software. Members are encouraged to actively participate through regular meetings that provide a forum for members and non-members alike to present their own projects, knowledge and expertise to the club.

Balance
A student-run Art, Architecture, and Design Club that provides a forum for both students and faculty to engage and discuss any related topics, in a relaxed and casual setting. BALANCE places an emphasis on enhancing the opportunities for students through lectures, social events, and field trips, while still promoting studio culture outside of the classroom.

This Society wishes to provide representation for biomedical engineers and to promote a general interest in the field of Biomedical engineering. Chi Epsilon
Chi Epsilon is the national honor society for those working towards a B.S. in Civil and Environmental engineering. Membership is based upon scholastic achievement. Students must be in the upper 1/3 of his/her class to become a member. Our primary objective is to recognize civil engineers who uphold a high academic record and promote a sense of community among the civil and environmental engineering student body. We host different social events and guest speakers throughout the year and are also involved with community service.

Dental Society
The LU Dental Society is open to any students thinking of pursuing a
career in the dentistry. Throughout the year we participate in a
number of different activities including dental hygiene presentations
at nearby elementary schools and dental-related community events such
as Give a Kid a Smile Day. Guest speakers frequently come to meetings
to talk about their professional experiences as well as the profession
itself.

The Institute of Industrial Engineering is an affiliate of the National Professional Society for Industrial Engineers. It is open to students in the Industrial Engineering curriculum or those interested in this field. Activities include monthly meetings with speakers from industry, field trips, regional and national faculty-student picnic. Membership fee is $30 and includes a subscription to the Industrial Engineering magazine.

Investment Management Group
The alumni donated $100,000 Rights Portfolio provides members of the Investment Management Group first-hand exposure to investing in the stock market. The clubs core function is researching stocks and analyzing whether or not to buy them. Financial current events are discussed and members can look forward to guest speakers from Wall Street and an annual field trip to investment banks. The club welcomes anyone with a desire to learn, as we have a wide range of members spanning form sophomore math majors to graduate students. Please refer to our website for additional information.

National Hispanic Business Association (NHBA)
NHBA is a student organization aimed at providing students in the
Lehigh University community opportunities to advance their careers,
especially in the field of business. Events are centered around
networking and interview & resume preparation, but also include events
that give the university greater exposure to other cultures. The
organization also strives to participate in the community surrounding
Lehigh and also partnering with other school organizations in their

National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE)
The National Society of Black Engineers sets out to increase the number of culturally responsible black engineers to excel academically, succeed professionally and positively impact the community. NSBE is the largest student-run organization in the country with over
18,000 members. Meetings are held twice a month to inform members of
various events and activities NSBE will be participating. We hold
professional and academic workshops as well as corporate information
sessions to help our members succeed academically and professionally.
We also hold an annual Fashion Show which has become a staple event
not only for NSBE but for Lehigh University as well. The Lehigh
University chapter attends the national convention every giving
students a chance to advance their careers and become active members
in the community.

Tau Beta Pi, the national engineering honor society, was founded at Lehigh in 1885 by Edward Higgnson Williams, Jr., to mark in a fitting manner those who have conferred honor upon their Alma Mater by distinguished scholarship and exemplary character in engineering, or by their attainments as alumni in the field of engineering, and to foster a spirit of liberal culture in engineering colleges. Tau Beta Pi provides professional development to it's members and is active in community service in the Lehigh community and the greater Bethlehem community. New members are initiated every semester. To be eligible, a candidate must be in the top eighth of his/her junior class or top fifth of his/her senior class and demonstrate a spirit of liberal culture in engineering.
