Undergraduate Students

Undergraduate Students Attending a College or University Other Than Lehigh

All non-Lehigh undergraduates should complete and submit the admission and registration forms (found in the link below) and enclose certification of good standing from their home institution (an official transcript sent directly to the Lehigh summer sessions office can be substituted).

After review of the admission application by Lehigh University officials, if all criteria for taking a summer course at Lehigh has been met and the summer registration form has been completed, the student will receive a summer admission acceptance letter.

NOTE:  Students will not be accepted in cases of disciplinary probation or suspension at their home institutions.

Lehigh Undergraduates

Undergraduates presently enrolled at Lehigh do not need to submit an admissions application for summer study at the University.  They need only be properly registered, and have paid their fees, by the beginning of the session in which they wish to take courses.  That is, by May 22 for first session and full summer courses and by July 5 for second session courses.  There is a $50 late registration and a $100 late payment fee for anyone registering after the first day of classes.

Lehigh students should go to the Registrar’s homepage at http://www.lehigh.edu/~inrgs and use the same procedure for registration in fall and spring.  Registration for summer session will open on April 2 for all 2007 summer sessions.  Students who register by May 1 for either first session or full summer term courses - June 3 for second session courses - will have tuition bills sent to their home addresses.  Those registering after May 1 or June 3 will not receive a bill and should make payment through the Bursar's Office.

LVAIC Students

Lehigh University is one of the six institutions in the Lehigh Valley Association of Independent Colleges (LVAIC).  The other LVAIC schools are Cedar Crest College, DeSales University, Lafayette College, Moravian College, and Muhlenberg College.

Full-time, evening and part-time students attending an LVAIC institution should follow the procedures shown below to register for a summer course at Lehigh University.

NOTE:  LVAIC students pay summer tuition at the summer host institution they attend and at the summer host institution’s summer tuition rate.

Full-time students from the LVAIC colleges – Cedar Crest College, DeSales University, Lafayette College, Moravian College, and Muhlenberg College – who wish to take summer courses at Lehigh should use the LVAIC cross-registration form.  This form is available from each institution’s registrar.  Part-time and evening LVAIC students must also complete a brief admissions application which can be obtained from the Lehigh Registrar’s Office.  These forms must be completed and returned to the Lehigh Registrar’s Office, and all tuition and fees paid by the first day of class of the session in which the student wishes to take courses.
