130.  Jazz Masters-"The Music of John Coltrane": An in-depth study of the music of a single major figure in jazz history, such as Miles Davis, Ornette Coleman, Duke Ellington.  May be repeated for credit as title varies.  HU

291.  Independent Study: Individually supervised work in history or composition, or continuation of projects begun in regular courses. May be repeated for credit. Prerequisite: consent of department chair. HU

312. Advanced Choral Composition: Intensive, week-long seminar/workshop for individual study with international faculty.
