Course Descriptions
1. Introduction to Anthropology: General introduction to the four subfields of anthropology biological, archaeological, cultural, and linguistic. Class will center around lectures and discussion of ancillary media. SS
370. Historical Archaeology: This course exams the unique nature of historical archaeology of post contact America. Topics include reconstructing the past through the archaeological and historical record, exhibiting past culture, and capturing the real or imagined past. Course includes fieldwork and visits to famous historical archaeological sites. SS
371. Special Topics: Advanced work through supervised readings. May be repeated for credit. Prerequisite: consent of the department chairperson. SS
