The Student Leadership Trainer program is one exciting way that students with significant leadership experience and interest can improve their own skills and also share their knowledge while helping others! Students become experts in facilitation and public speaking and have the opportunity to motivate and inspire other emerging leaders on campus!

Student Leadership Trainers (SLT) are undergraduate students who serve as presenters/facilitators for various Office of Student Leadership Development (OSLD) programs and workshops. Each SLT has received intensive training on facilitation, presentation and leadership topics in order to provide fun, interactive, energetic and informative trainings for their peers. SLTs gain knowledge on a variety of leadership topics and are specifically taught how to research and create an amazing workshop on any topic requested. Most frequently they train on the topics of public speaking, communication, conflict management, goal setting, event planning, individual & group decision making and leadership styles.

There are many benefits associated with the SLT program. Students receive in-depth training and leadership skills that are invaluable in their personal and professional lives. In addition, SLTs have the opportunity to attend national leadership conferences and experiences and receive a small stipend for their hard work and dedication to helping with the leadership development of Lehigh students! All trainers are required to facilitate 5 programs each semester and are compensated with a stipend based on the number of programs they provide beyond the 5 program requirement.

• 5 - 6 programs = $100
• 7 - 8 Programs = $150
• 9 or more programs = $200
