Greek Life Leadership Programs
The GEM EXPERIENCE For New Members
GROWTH, FRIENDSHIP, LEADERSHIP, COMMUNITY and SELF DISCOVERY.
Thirty-five (35) new members are selected each Spring semester to participate in this leadership development program during the fall of their sophomore year. Participants receive mentoring from juniors and seniors in the Greek community and engage in 6 training sessions and an overnight retreat. As a result of this experience, sophomore leaders:
- Meet and network with emerging leaders from various Greek chapters
- Receive face time with faculty and staff members from across the Lehigh campus
- Understand the importance of building and growing relationships as the foundation of leadership.
- Learn how to manage small and large groups in order to affect change in their chapters and the Greek community.

I really enjoyed the workshops, especially the one that was based on the survival skills because of the break out group discussion, debate, and comparison of decision making with other groups.

It (GEM) was great because I got to hear from faculty and staff involved in Greek Life.
