Major:Environmental Engineering
Position: Vice President
About: I'm graduating at the end of this year, but I have found an outlet in SSD, a way to contribute some of my education to a larger cause, to actually help people. To me, the role of environmental engineering doesn't simply end in the classroom or the office, but applies to all areas including the local and global community. I am so happy to have been able to work with a great group of students who share my ideals.

Major:Mechanical Engineering
Position: Webmaster
About: Honestly, I think SSD is one of the most interesting clubs on campus. It gives students the oppurtunity to practice their major and work on an international scale to help people and explore other cultures.

Major: Environmental Engineering
Position: Fundraising Co-Chair
About: I can't find a better way to use my engineering knowledge I've gained from Lehigh than to give it back to the community through organizations like SSD. So much work needs to be done to give people the simple freedom of access to potable water and we are students trying to help that process!

Major: Integrated Business and Engineering
Position: Treasurer
About: SSD is great because it not only allows us to find a practical, real-world experience to utilize our knowledge and skills, but to become to become more aware of other cultures and help better the lives of others. Everything you could ask for, all in a single club.
Tom Waters[email: tew2 @Lehigh.edu]
Major: Civil Engineering
Position: Project Leader (elect)
About: I'm really interested in how I can apply sustainable development to what I have learned in Civil Engineering. Having engineers and planners, as well as the general public, conscious of more environment-friendly methods of development is crucial for the conservation of our planet Earth. An exposure to a variety of cultures is also an aspect of SSD that I am truly excited about!
