Mission Statement for Centennial School

Two types of evaluation are conducted:

  1. Personnel Evaluation
  2. Program Evaluation

Personnel evaluation.  Personnel evaluation consists of intern evaluations performed by the on-site supervisors in conjunction with Lehigh faculty members.  Targets of personnel evaluation include the intern's technical skills and professional conduct in the school setting.

Program evaluation.  Program evaluation refers to a systematic inquiry into the efficacy of school-based counseling methods and techniques for students who are at high risk for school failure.  Counseling psychology interns in conjunction with their faculty supervisors develop research designs and collect data that lead to determining the effectiveness of school-based counseling.  It is anticipated that the results of these studies will be submitted for presentations at professional conferences and published in professional journals.
