Centennial School hosted a Middle States Accreditation Team April 20-23, 2009
GOALS
1. By June 2016, 100% of Centennial School graduates will demonstrate
greater self-confidence and ability to advocate for themselves by
developing a self-advocacy plan that addresses his or her future
transition into the community. The plan will include: development of a
portfolio, accomplishment of Individualized Education Program goals, and
post-school surveys of community agencies identified within the
student's portfolio.
2. By June 2016, 28% of students attending Centennial School will transition back to their home school full time.
3. By June 2016, 100% of Centennial School students will improve their technology skills in one or more of the following areas: word processing, safe internet navigation, presentations, spread sheet development, e-mail, and adaptive technology to help with personal needs. Success will be demonstrated using Learning.com’s TechLiteracy Assessment and/or an individualized Centennial Technology Rubric.
- A student should be assessed with an individualized Centennial technology rubric when teachers determine that the skills assessed with Learning.com's TechLiteracy Assessment do not align with the student's needs as determined by his or her IEP and with consideration given to the student's functioning level.
- Students who will be assessed with the Centennial rubric will be assessed on skills determined on an individual basis; each skill/sub skill will be assessed on a four-point rubric corresponding with the prompting level used (i.e., a “4” would be awarded when the student demonstrates a skill independently, a 3 would
be awarded if the student demonstrated the skill with an indirect
prompt, 2 for a direct prompt, and 1 for a skill demonstrated with
teacher assistance such as teacher modeling or hand-over-hand).
