LGBTQA Programs and Outreach seeks to improve the Lehigh University climate by inspiring a vision of diversity that is aware of, engaged in, and appreciative of issues related to sexual orientation and gender identity/expression. We promote academic and personal growth and development of LGBTQA students and promote access and full involvement in all aspects of campus life.

Timothy Gardner holds an AS in General Studies from Asnnuntuck Community College, BA in Psychology from Westfield State College, and an MS in Ethnic and Multi-cultural Studies from Minnesota State University, Mankato. His interests include sexuality and gender studies, relationship orientation, socioeconomic studies, practical living skills, eco- architecture, experiential education and travel.

Elvira Pimenta was born and raised in Bethlehem, PA. For the past twenty-seven years Elvira has worked in the Dean of Students Office: from 1981 to 1995 in the Residence Life & Greek Affairs Offices and from 1996 on in the Student Development Office. Elvira graduated from Broughal MS and Liberty HS. Elvira has a penchant for tea and conversation. Elvira has been happily married for 36 years. Elvira's son graduated from Lehigh with his BS in Economics and Finance. Elvira is one of the Rainbow Room's greatest allies; assisting as administrative supporter for LGBTQA Programs & Outreach events & activities and is very supportive of the LGBTQ community.

Luis Bazurto is a senior in the College of Business, majoring in BIS (Business Information Systems). Luis has worked in the Rainbow Room for the past three years and is currently volunteering and is currently the Spectrum treasurer.

Sara Santos was born and raised in Brazil, and she moved to the United States in 1999. She is now a first-year student here at Lehigh. She is enrolled in the College of Arts and Sciences, and plans to enroll in the College of Education as a sophmore. Sara Santos has been involved in LGBTQ rights since she was a freshman in her High School and is eager to be a part of the Lehigh LGBTQA Services. She is also a large advocate for immigrational rights, especially in support of The Dream Act and immigrational rights for same-sex couples.

Sarunas Staisiunas a.k.a. Sharky is a second-year international student from Lithuania - the only one! He is currently undeclared in the college of Arts and Sciences, but is considering majoring in Physics or Astronomy. He is also the Vice President of Spectrum and a Rainbow Room work study work study worker.
