Research Interests
My research interests include a variety of aspects within the social and emotional development of children. I am especially interested in how aspects of the parent-child relationship affect children’s emotional experiences. For example, I am currently examining how attachment influences children’s experiences of empathy and guilt, their degrees of emotionality, and their use of emotional regulation strategies. In previous work I have examined social outcomes of attachment, namely mother-toddler conflict frequency and resolution.
