Welcome to Lehigh's Department of Psychology!

chandler

Psychology is the science of mind, brain, and behavior. Members of our department study how people think, feel, and act as individuals and in groups, from infancy to old age. We are also interested in how psychological principles can be applied in everyday life to understand and improve the human condition. Our department focus is on three intersecting areas of psychology – cognitive, social, and developmental – but we offer undergraduates opportunities to explore more clinically-oriented topics as well, including health and clinical psychology. Learn more about our B.A. and B.S. major programs by clicking on the undergraduate page link to the left.

Our department prides itself on distinguished research and graduate education as well as excellence in undergraduate education. Members of the department are active and productive scholars.  The high level of scholarly activity in three closely intersecting areas of Psychology creates a stimulating and collegial atmosphere for faculty and student research.  Learn more about our M.S. and Ph.D. programs in Human Cognition and Development by clicking on the graduate program link to the left.
